Our founders are all about giving back to their community!

While traveling in 2014, Spiral Giving co-founder Sue Greene Fuirst was moved to learn about other communities’ efforts to engage youth in philanthropy. Having a longstanding commitment to humanitarianism herself, she loved the idea of inspiring young people in her own hometown to learn about giving and nonprofits beyond the occasional service project. The following year, Sue partnered with Julie Gerstein to launch Spiral Giving.

To-date, the organization has awarded grants to numerous local organizations and taught dozens of high school students about the need to give back. We look forward to watching our impact spread as Spiral Giving grows and our students graduate and continue making their world a better place.
